What this website stores, why, and who sees it.
Your date request
When you send a request, the site keeps what you typed: the trip, the date, the number of guests, your name and WhatsApp number, and your email, ship and notes if you added them. It goes to the booking desk, which only the captain and the site’s developer can open, and both get an email about it. It is used to plan your trip and keep the booking records. It is not sold or shared with anyone else.
How you found the site
On your first visit, your browser keeps a small note of how you arrived: the campaign tags in the link (utm tags and a Google click id), the site that sent you, the page you landed on and the time. It stays in your browser's local storage for 90 days and goes with your request, so the captain can see which ads and pages bring guests. It holds no name or contact details.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read, and Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used, such as where people tap and scroll. Both set cookies and see your IP address, under their own privacy policies. When a request is sent, Google may also record that a request was made, so the captain can tell which ads work. The details you type into the request are not sent to them.
A WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a message filled in. What you send there is between you and the captain, under WhatsApp’s own terms.
Hosting
The site and the booking desk run on Cloudflare. To stop spam, the IP address of your connection is checked against a short limit on requests. It is not stored with your request.
Your choices
You can block cookies or clear your browser’s storage at any time, and the site still works. To see, correct or delete what the desk holds about you, message the captain.
